PHASE 3 CONSTRUCTION
HAS BEGUN

8/12/25: The final phase of work has started. The third phase will consist primarily of rehabilitation of the interior, building out our two retail storefronts and five Airbnb apartments. Utility service will be brought to the building, and some final exterior improvements and restoration will be made. We expect the building to open in early 2026.

PHASE 2 CONSTRUCTION
HAS STARTED

5/6/24: Work on replacing the two retail storefronts, the windows and the exterior doors has begun. The existing non-historic and dilapidated storefronts are being removed, and new storefronts with a historically appropriate design similar to the 1880s originals will be built. A $250,000 Community Development Block Grant is largely funding this phase.

PHASE 2 CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AWARDED

2/15/23: We've awarded a contract for construction of the second phase of the project, which will replace exterior windows and doors and install new storefronts similar to the 1800s originals. The work, expected to start later in the spring, will largely be funded by a Community Development Block Grant. Meanwhile, we're finishing up structural repairs.
